We have improved our message boards to give you a better experience.

Included in the improvements:
- Better screening of profanity
- Private messaging between users
- RSS feeds of message board posts
- Search inside message text
- E-mail alerts when posts are updated

The first time you use the new boards, you must verify your e-mail address by responding to an automated e-mail from our system. If you don't see the registration e-mail right away, you may need to check your spam filter for it.

(If the e-mail address you used to register with our site is no longer valid, you can update it at our Member Center.)

Unfortunately, the topics from our old message board software couldn't be carried over, so you should feel free to re-post them.

Privacy issues

In response to your requests, we have:
- Removed the "Real Name" listing from user profiles
- Made all user e-mail addresses hidden by default
- Ended the public display of IP addresses
- Created an "auto-activate" system for users having trouble with e-mail verification
